During her 2015-16 residency, Camille was able to move freely within the institute and its 40 labs, exchanging ideas with the scientists and exploring parallels in musical composition. Each movement of the work illustrates one of the mysteries of the origins of life: Cell division Crystal formation Virus attack The quartet is scored for violin, clarinet, cello and piano.
