Inspired by Redmond O'Hanlon's book ”Trawler” (2003), this work consists of five
scenes in which a tenor soloist represents the explorer (O'Hanlon), the
skipper, the youngest sailor, the aggressive sailor and the experienced
First Mate.
The score evokes savage nature and the extreme conditions of life on
board a trawler in today's industrialised world.
